Welcome to the Poseidon Academy RPG forum!

Welcome to the Poseidon Academy RPG, PanRPG for short! This RPG is based off of Dina Situ's web-comic, Pandect, and takes place in an AU [alternate-universe] version of the academy, without any of the canon (official) Pandect characters.

The forum has grown rather large, so please take your time in browsing through the available boards and read the descriptions provided in them for their function. TIP: If you're completely new to forums and have no clue about how a forum works, you should have a look at the Proboards tutorial HERE. You can also find it by clicking on "Help" icon in the bar menu at the top of the forum.

Below is a STEP-BY-STEP guide about how to get started; all links open in a new window:


    // REGISTER AN ACCOUNT //
  • [Step 1]
    First register an account here. Click on the "Register" icon in the bar menu at the top of the forum or click this link: HERE

    After you've registered an account, your account will be on hold, and will be activated by a staff member after the next step is completed.

  • [Step 2]
    After you've registered, you must post a player application post on the Registration board HERE.

    Create a new thread.

    The application post must contain:
    - A short introduction describing yourself
    - A short text description of the character you wish to play; just a short description is good and it doesn't have to be full of details - you will be writing the full profile later, after your account has been approved. Registration is for your forum account to be approved - it does not approve your character.
    - Mention why you want to join the RPG and show your level of commitment to be a frequent member of this board.
    - Don't forget to mention the username (name of your account) you registered.
    - If anyone referred you to this RPG, please include their name!

    Just a short, simple post, no long essays required, although we do ask that you mind your grammar. ;)

    Please note that you may have to put a number on the end of your name when you post in the Registration board in order for it to work.

    You must be approved by at least 2 members of Staff, one of whom must be a Game Master - as they have the power to add you in to the board - (although if more get back to you, that's great) before we will enable your account.

    Note: Your first Ace on the board may not be a Gladiator or special rank Ace. Please also remember that this is a high school. Your character must be between the ages of 13 and 19, unless a Staff member. There are few exceptions. [see the Pandect RPG - Rules & Information board after approval for details].

  • [Step 3]
    While waiting for the replies from two staffmembers to your player application post, you should read the rules and information about this forum:

  • [Step 4]
    Once two staffmembers have posted a reply mentioning that they approve, your account will be activated for use. But what to do next? How to start RPing? Continue reading...


    // CREATE A CHARACTER //
  • [Step 5]
    Before you may start RPing, your character must be approved. To get started on creating your character profile, go to the Character Applications board, HERE.

  • [Step 6]
    Read all the threads that are located in the sub-board called: "Rules & Help for creating characters". (You can find it HERE.)

  • [Step 7]
    Post your character application post in the Preliminary Review sub-board, HERE. A moderator will review it and once it has been approved, it will be moved to the Final Review sub-board, where it will have its final review. Don't worry: this process doesn't take very long.

  • [Step 8]
    After your character application has been approved by another mod from the Final Review sub-board, your character's profile will be moved to the Character Archive, which you can find HERE.

  • [Step 9]
    Add the link to your character's profile to your signature. Read more information about what your should put in your signature HERE

  • [Step 10]
    Okay! Now you're ready and you may start RPing!
    Make sure that you've read all the rules and information about the PanRPG [Step 3] before you start, and have fun! :)


    To make you more familiar with the board, here are some extra (optional) steps:

  • [Step 11]
    You must've noticed the General Board (HERE) - this is the place where all members chit-chat, though thread topics are usually RPG-related. There is a special SPAM thread for talk about random stuff, called: "[SPAM]Let's talk while we're waiting. XD". Don't be shy and say hi to the other members. They'll be more than happy to welcome you!

  • [Step 12]
    Want to start RPing, but you don't have anyone to RP with? Don't worry, that's why we have a sub-board in the General Board called: "Meeting Point", which you can find HERE. Here you may post a request for someone to RP with. You can read instructions in the thread that is pinned at the top of that board (HERE).

  • [Step 13]
    Have to go on a trip for a couple of days, making you unable to RP? Then please post on the "Absence Thread", which you can find HERE in the General Board.

  • [Step 14]
    Want somewhere to work out your story, or somewhere to do a little bit of realtime RPing? Invite someone to the "Character Chat" board, located HERE. (Requires JAVA.) Click the BACK button on your browser to leave when you're done.

  • [Step 15]
    Got any questions? You're free to post your questions about all things regarding the RPG and the forum on the Questions board HERE. Of course you may also PM a moderator (Game Master or Invigilator). Click HERE to see the list of forum staff.


    // STAYING UP-TO-DATE //
  • [Step 16]
    To stay up to date of all the RPG events and forum updates, check the News & Updates board: HERE. The Update Center at the top is also an easy way to stay up-to-date. Make sure to keep an eye on it!


    // LET YOUR CREATIVITY FLOW //
  • [Step 17]
    Got new artwork of your character or someone else's character? Post them on the "Artwork" board HERE. Read the rules of the board first. There are many sub-boards for you to post your artwork on. Make sure that you read the board descriptions if you want to figure out what to post in them. Always remember the "profile links"! ;)

  • [Step 18]
    Written a story about your character or someone else's character? Post it on the "Written Works" board HERE. It's not only limited to fics, of course, but all forms of written work pertaining to the Pandect RPG world is welcomed. Read the rules before you post and remember the profile links!
